Dispelling Miscoceptions About Islam.

Learn About The 2nd Biggest Religion In The World.

One of the most common misconceptions about Islam is that they are engaged in jihad against the US. the definition of jihad is struggle or to struggle against something but this often gets confused as a word for war by Muslims and others alike.

The fundamentalist Muslims believe that jihad is the fight against someone or a group of people. The US believes that it means all out war when it really means an inner struggle or conquest. An internal Jihad is like conquering a fear or making a difficult choice.

The Quran says nothing about condoning killing or making it justified to kill any innocent human being or else it is like you have killed every human being. Also this rule works inversely if you save a human being it is as if you have saved every human.

In this painting we are trying to break down the misconception that all muslims are engaged in jihad against us. But what people do not realize is that jihad doesn’t mean war it means the spiritual struggle within oneself against sin. Sometimes in life people twist the meaning of words or phrases and this is one of those things that people try to twist. Although people do twist these words we should not listen and think what they think, we should try to stop this misconception from spreading.
